1. Nail Brightening Treatment

If you soak your nails in a little salt, they will be strong and give you soft cuticles. With the right ingredients, you will get shiny and healthy nails in no time. Mix a teaspoon of salt, baking soda and lemon juice. Put the mixture in lukewarm water in a small bowl. Soak your nails for at least 10 minutes. Remember to moisten well after washing. This mixture is also an excellent remedy if it has yellow spots on the nails.

2. Facial Toner

Applying salt to the skin can do a lot of good. It helps clog pores and fight the bacteria responsible for acne and epidemics. Salt also helps to balance the amount of oil produced by the skin. Just add a teaspoon of sea salt to heat the water in a spray bottle. Then let it dissolve completely before using it. Spray the mixture on your entire face, but keep it away from the eyes. This is especially useful for people with dry skin. You can use it twice a day.

3. Anti-Dandruff Treatment

In severe cases of dandruff, salt can help treat problems by loosening and removing flakes. It also helps stimulate blood circulation for a healthy scalp. Salts also protect the scalp by absorbing excess oil and moisture to prevent the growth of fungi. Sprinkle a few teaspoons of salt on your scalp. Gently massage your scalp with wet fingers for about 15 minutes. Then wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner.

4. Balancing Mask

Take two tablespoons of sea salt and mix with four tablespoons of raw honey to get a paste. Apply this paste to your skin and let it work for about 15 to 20 minutes. Dip a washcloth in warm water and place on your face for 30 seconds. Remove the cloth and gently exfoliate your skin with circular motions. Then rinse your skin with water.

5. Body Scrub

Salt is also a natural exfoliant that can remove dead skin cells. Add a quarter cup of salt to a bowl and add half a cup of olive oil or softened coconut oil. Mix well and add 10 drops of your favourite essential oil. Apply it to your skin and gently exfoliate it by rubbing your skin in a circular motion. Then rinse with water.

6. Salt Bath

Salt is the easiest way to soak the skin in salt water. Fill your bathtub with warm water and add one-third of the salt. Make sure that the salt dissolves well in the water. Then immerse in the bath for about 15-30 minutes before rinsing with normal water. Salt absorbs the dirt, dirt and oil from your skin, leaving it with a soft, smooth and glowing skin.

7. Teeth Whitening

Salt and baking soda are mild scourers that help remove stains and clean teeth. Salt also contains a natural fluoride source, which is beneficial for your teeth and gums.

Mix one teaspoon of salt and two teaspoons of baking soda. Dip a wet toothbrush into the mixture and brush your teeth normally. If the taste is too intense, try adding toothpaste to the brush before adding it to the mixture.

8. Natural Mouth Wash

Salt also acts as a disinfectant to kill the bacteria that cause bad breath and gingivitis.

Mix half a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of baking soda, and a quarter of a cup of water until the salt has dissolved. Swish the solution around the mouth and between the teeth. Spit, then rinse.

9. Rejuvenating Scrub

For this exfoliation, you need half a cup of salt, a quarter of fruit juice or a gel of aloe vera, a quarter cup of your choice and a spoon of dried lavender flowers and 10 drops of lavender essential oil. Mix all these ingredients together to form a thick paste. Apply it under the shower and then exfoliate your skin. Rinse once you are done.
